The Magnets Info pane allows you to more precisely control the magnets which make connections between shapes and lines "prefer" to connect to specific points. (See Connection Magnets for more info.)
The view on the right shows the selected graphic and the locations of its magnets. You can zoom in on this view using the Magnify slider beneath it. To move a magnet, click on it in this view to select it and drag it to the new location. To remove a magnet, select it and press the - button in the lower-left area. To add another magnet, click the + button. You can switch to any of several predefined magnet configurations using the eight buttons in the upper-left area of the pane. Allow Connections - If you uncheck this box, lines drawn toward the shape will not connect to it as is normally the case; if the shape is moved, the endpoints of any "connecting" lines will stay where they are instead of moving to follow the shape. Connect to the Group versus Connect to the Group's Components - These buttons become active if a group of graphics (i.e. several graphics made one entity with the Group command) is selected. When Connect to the Group is chosen, lines toward the group will connect to the group as a single entity instead of to individual graphics within the group.
